Welcome to Ardnacross Shore Cottages(East & West)by Campbeltown

Located on the East coast of the Kintyre peninsula just one mile from Peninver and six miles from Campbeltown, the cottages offer stunning views towards Davaar Island, Arran and the Ayrshire coast, with a path leading directly onto the beach, where spectacular sunrises can be viewed.

These cosy semi detached cottages are the perfect retreat for enjoying the unspoilt countryside.  Each cottage has a double bedroom downstairs and a family room that can sleep 3 upstairs.  The cottages can be booked individually or combined to make it an extra special break with friends or family.

Relax and enjoy the abundance of wildlife; watching the otters, seals, porpoises, dolphins and the wide variety of seabirds on the secluded sandy beach.

Just a short drive away, is the world class golf course at Machrihanish on the shores of the Atlantic, along with Machrihanish Dunes Golf Club and not forgetting the splendid Dunaverty Links course & the 9 hole course at Carradale.

Being semi-detached cottages these are ideal for 2 families to have separate accommodation but enjoy a holiday together.

Both Cottages comprise:

Lounge with TV, DVD player & an open fire suitable for coal and logs.

2 Bedrooms

·      Downstairs – double bedroom 1 double bed

·      Upstairs – Family Room – 1 double bed & 1 single bed

Duvets & pillows provided but please could you bring your own bedlinen and towels.

Kitchen - Electric cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Washer / Dryer

Bathroom - Bath / Shower

Local Area

• There are many fantastic walks to be had in the area, including several picturesque forestry walks and for the more adventurous walking enthusiasts, the ‘Kintyre Way’ provides a great long distance walk from Tarbert in the north of the peninsula to Southend in the south but some would suggest that a gentle stroll on the beach is just as satisfying!

• The cottages are situated within a short drive of world class golf at Machrihanish on the shores of the Atlantic and the recently completed Machrihanish Dunes golf course, not forgetting the splendid Dunaverty links golf course & the 9 hole course at Carradale, all of which have wonderful views of the Kintyre coastline and across to the many Islands.

• In the area there are many facilities - Sailing trips, fishing, sea angling, pony trekking.   There is a Library, Leisure Centre with swimming pool and Campbeltown has the oldest Cinema in Scotland!

• Day trips can be taken to the Islands of Gigha & Islay by car ferry and there is a passenger ferry to Ballycastle in Northern Ireland.    

• For the whisky connoisseur there are two single malts to be sampled in Campbeltown, from Glen Scotia Distillery and Springbank Distillery and visitors can also experience a tour of the distilleries.
